Each EC-Council certification fee includes one exam attempt. Remote proctoring or test-center charges, if any, are confirmed in writing. Exam details and eligibility for each program are on its certification page.
Why Prices Differ Between Providers
EC-Council itself says the cost of a certification depends on how you learn it: self-study, live online or in-person with a training partner. Whether the exam voucher is included, how many attempts it covers and whether you are applying on experience instead of training also change the total. For example, EC-Council's ECIH exam page lists a separate eligibility application fee for candidates who qualify by experience, so check the current amount.
Questions to Ask Any Provider
- Is the exam voucher included, and for how many attempts?
- Is GST included in the price you were quoted?
- Are remote proctoring or test-center charges extra?
- What does a retake cost?
- Are there renewal or continuing education costs after you pass?
- Is the course official EC-Council courseware, and is the provider authorized to teach it?
- What happens if EC-Council changes the exam format or version before your exam?
