Cyber Security Course for Freshers
For final-year students and graduates (B.Tech, BCA, B.Sc, MCA, diploma): 6-week courses you can take one at a time, starting from the fundamentals, with a lab you keep and reports an employer can read.

Who Can Join
- Final-year students and graduates of B.Tech or B.E. in any branch
- BCA, MCA, B.Sc (computers, electronics, math) and diploma holders
- Non-IT graduates with basic computer skills; expect to put in extra effort on networking in the first weeks
- Anyone changing careers, with no prior security experience
Do I Need Coding or a Security Background?
No. Basic computer literacy is enough for the SOC and DFIR course, which begins with networking and security fundamentals. The Offensive Security Track expects networking and Linux basics, which you can pick up first. Weekend sessions (10:00 to 18:00 IST) are available for catch-up. Bring a laptop with 16 GB of RAM at least; 32 GB runs the full lab at home.
Which Course Should a Fresher Start With?
Freshers can take any course on its own. Most start with SOC and DFIR, then move on if they want penetration testing.
- SOC and DFIR: the usual first course. Monitoring, incident handling and forensics, covering the core concepts of CCT, CSA, ECIH and CHFI. In our reading of Hyderabad job listings in October 2026, entry-level openings were more common in SOC roles.
- The Offensive Security Track: Application Security, then advanced Network and Active Directory: penetration testing and application security roles more often asked for some experience, so this is a longer runway.
A Typical Fresher Path
Plan for one to two extra hours a day of lab and report writing. The reports are what you will show in interviews.
| Step | What you do | Output |
|---|---|---|
| SOC and DFIR (6 weeks, optional) | Network defense fundamentals, SOC monitoring with Splunk and Wazuh, incident handling and forensics | SOC monitoring and DFIR reports |
| Track, weeks 1 to 6 | Application security: web, API, Android and thick-client testing | Web, API, Android and thick-client reports |
| Track, weeks 7 to 12 | Advanced network and Active Directory penetration testing | Network and Active Directory reports |
| Every weekday | 3 hours in class: 90 minutes live, 90 minutes supervised practice | Lab progress and stage exams |
| Weekends | Optional: practice, questions and backup classes | Catch-up and extra lab time |
What You Finish With
- A personal lab you keep, with build guides and VM configurations
- Assessed reports for every course (six on the track)
- A course assessment, CTF challenges in every course, and Hacking Trainer course certificates (not EC-Council certifications)
- Resume, LinkedIn and mock-interview support built around your reports
- 12 months of review access with free backup classes
Fees and Installments for Students
Each course is ₹20,000 + 18% GST (₹23,600 in total), paid in full, and the two-course Offensive Security Track is ₹30,000 + 18% GST (₹35,400), payable in full or in two installments. Attend 3 to 5 real classes free before you decide; refunds follow our refund and cancellation policy. See the full fee breakdown and what to ask any institute.
How to Prepare Before You Join
- Learn how an IP address, DNS and a web request work
- Get comfortable with the Linux command line
- Try free beginner labs to see whether you enjoy the work
- Read our beginner roadmap and practice the interview questions
Questions Parents Ask
- Is it legal and safe? Yes. Everything is practiced in isolated labs against deliberately vulnerable systems, and authorization and scope are taught from the start.
- Will my child get a job? We cannot promise one, and no honest institute can. We do not provide placement or placement assistance; we explain why, and what we give instead.
- What if they do not like it? The free trial classes come first. After enrolling, a refund is possible before the batch starts or in the first 5 class days, less a ₹1,000 processing fee (refund policy).
- Who owns the institute? Hacking Trainer Academy is a training division of BERRY9 IT SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED, which has been an EC-Council Accredited Training Center since 2015.
Where You Will Learn

Which is the best cybersecurity course for freshers in Hyderabad?
The best course is one that starts from the basics, gives you supervised lab practice and work you can show, and lets you try it first. Compare at least three institutes with our checklist, and attend trial classes before you pay.
Can I learn cybersecurity after B.Tech?
Yes. Graduates of any engineering branch can join. The program starts with networking and Linux, so you do not need a security background.
Can non-IT students learn cybersecurity?
Yes, with basic computer skills and extra effort in the first weeks. Weekend sessions are available for catch-up.
Is coding required for a cybersecurity course?
No. Coding is not a prerequisite. It helps over time, but the program teaches the tools and methods you need.
How long does it take for a fresher to learn cybersecurity?
Each course is 6 weeks and 90 supervised hours, and the track is 12 weeks. Becoming job-ready usually takes longer and depends on your practice, so plan for extra lab time and a job search afterward.
Which course is better for a fresher, SOC or penetration testing?
SOC roles more often accept freshers, while penetration testing roles often ask for experience, so that route is longer. Most freshers start with SOC and DFIR, then join the Offensive Security Track if they want testing. A counselor can help you decide.
