CEH Exam Cost in India: What You Actually Pay

When people search for the CEH fee they usually mean one number, but the real cost has three parts: training, the exam attempt, and what you pay if you retake, add the practical exam or renew later. Prices change, and EC-Council sets its own, so we do not quote EC-Council's price list from memory. This guide shows what to count, what our own fee covers, and what to ask any provider in writing.

The Three Costs Behind the "CEH Fee"

  • Training or eligibility. To sit the exam you must be eligible. EC-Council offers two routes: attend official training (online, through an Authorized Training Center, or at a partner college), or apply for eligibility without training.
  • The exam attempt. The knowledge exam is delivered online through EC-Council's exam portal. Some providers bundle one attempt (a voucher) into the training fee; others sell it separately.
  • Everything after the first attempt. A retake, the optional practical exam and renewal under EC-Council's continuing education policy all sit outside the headline number unless the provider says otherwise.

What Our CEH Fee Covers

Our CEH v13 fee is ₹36,000 + 18% GST (₹42,480 in total). Each EC-Council certification fee includes one exam attempt. Remote proctoring or test-center charges, if any, are confirmed in writing before you pay. The full table, with the exam details, is on the CEH v13 certification page.

If You Apply Without Training

EC-Council lets experienced candidates skip the training and apply for eligibility. The application is reviewed by EC-Council, and it has its own rules and fee. Read the current terms at cert.eccouncil.org rather than trusting an old blog post, including this one.

Retakes, the Practical Exam and Renewal

  • Retakes. Per EC-Council's CEH page, students in official CEH training get free retakes depending on the package they enroll in, and retakes are available to others for a fee. Ask whether your package includes one.
  • CEH Practical. The practical exam is optional and separate: 6 hours, 20 challenges. Ask whether an attempt is included in the fee or priced on top.
  • Renewal. Certifications are maintained under EC-Council's CPE policy. Plan for it so the credential does not lapse.

Questions to Ask Before You Pay Anyone

  • Is the exam attempt included, and how long is the voucher valid?
  • Is the provider an EC-Council Accredited Training Center? Ask for proof and check it with EC-Council.
  • Are proctoring or test-center charges extra?
  • Is the quoted number before or after 18% GST?
  • What happens if you miss classes, change batch or cancel? Read the refund terms first; ours are on the refund policy page.
  • Is the practical exam included, and is a retake included?

Get the answers in writing. A low headline fee with an exam voucher, proctoring and GST added later is not cheaper.

Is CEH Worth the Money for a Fresher?

CEH can help a résumé get through an HR screen, because recruiters recognize the name. It does not replace skill: interviewers test whether you can run a scan, read the output and explain a finding. Treat the certificate as the proof of breadth and build the hands-on proof separately. Our CEH vs OSCP comparison and certification roadmap help you decide the order.
